I like the older music. The older rock I like because it seems to make more sense to me. I mean, you had them angry or sometimes talking about sex or at least love, but even when they yelled, they were still singing, and you could still understand the words. Also, to me, a lot of the newer music sounds whiny and/or yells way too much, and that just gets annoying to me. Also some have swearing in almost every line or at least more than once or twice in there songs. I like old rap and R&B because, I don't know, I guess they're just nicer to listen to, even the old stuff like the Stylistics I like. *smiles*

I much prefer the new music. Right, I have listened to the 80's once and sometimes to old classical music, but only till I was twelve. Today I love new music and I don't like old music at all.

Marilyn Manson no one alive or dead can match the power of his live performances, believe me, I've seen your man 4 times and he is nothing short of sensational....

hmm I will go with the old one, since there was nicer stuff to say and the music also itself was more instrumented... and therefore made more sence to me as the word music

Well, life performances are important, but I would still not want to see him live, sorry.

I go for the older for the most part. I agree with the person who said that they want to understand what the singer is actually saying. Also, I think they were a little more optimistic in some of them. Most of the pop music of today seems rather pesimistic or someone's looking at somebody for their body.

Well the 80's are okay sometimes, but older ... naw thanks.

Well isn'T this a question of flavour, Goblin? If you like him, well, then it's sure that you will like his life performance. If you don't, like I, I don'T like him, you will certainly not like his life performance because you don'T like the music and then it might not be so stunning.

I love mostly rock of all kinds and some R and B and dance. I respect the talent of both musicians who use instruments and those who use synthesizers. Also, sometimes something can be simple and just sound awesome to someone, but then again I tend to prefer complexity. Just look at my profile.

you tend to prefer complexty. There are some songs, that are just so packet up with sooo much instruments that your ears get loose; there even are ones that you didn't know some instruments were in the song and sometimes they are not necesary...

Absolute self righteous crap! I have stood in a crowd at the Gig on the Green concert, while Manson was his usual stunning self, and even his enemies namelya crowd of neds, were knocked out by the sheer power and scope of his performance,no other band or performer could live with or out do Manson that night, and they knew it...He is simply in a class of his own

Sometimes that's true too about there being too much going on in a song.

well I like both things, simple and big band, it doesn't really matter to me, i just enjoy it
